The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) has recommended osteopathic treatment as the primary treatment option for non-specific back pain.
Almost half the adult population experience back pain lasting for at least one day every year and this is reflected in the fact that about half of all our treatment is carried out on sufferers of low back pain. The most common reason for low back pain is disturbed spinal mechanics and all our osteopaths specialise in treating low back pain.

The osteopath may feel that you would benefit from the use of acupuncture to top up the benefits of osteopathy. Occasionally dry needling may enhance the osteopathic treatment you have received and speed your recovery.
