Podiatry Appointment COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update

We are fully open for all Chiropody & Podiatry appointments, but like everywhere else there have been changes put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are very aware of the need to keep our patients safe and therefore our Podiatrists will treat you wearing a range of PPE which includes a high-grade face mask along with disposable nitrile gloves.

The welfare of our patients is a priority to us and we are ensuring that we have the appropriate measures in place to maintain your safety as well as ours. A substantial interval will seperate each appointment to give the Podiatrist enough time to clean and sanitise all areas from the previous patient. This will also ensure you do not come into contact with any other patients. A clear, pull across screen will also now separate the Podiatrist from the patient throughout treatment.

We are requesting that you also wear a mask when you enter The Centre as we all need to be aware of each other’s wellbeing.

When you arrive for your appointment you may find the door locked. This is because we are allowing enough time between appointments to enable us to to clean and sanitise the patient couch and various surfaces to ensure the treatment space is safe for you. We will check your temperature with a contactless thermometer before you enter the building. This is because one of the early Covid symptoms is a raised body temperature. Upon entering you will be asked to use an alcoholic hand sanitising gel from an automatic dispenser to sanitise your hands.

In order to minimise the surfaces that may be touched the reception area and toilet facilities are not currently in use. Please arrive just a few minutes before your appointment to avoid waiting outside for too long. Your Podiatrist will greet you at the front door as soon as they are ready for you. We are currently asking all patients to attend the appointment alone, unless assistance is required when accessing the building. You may be asked to pay for your appointment over the telephone in order to reduce close contact as much as possible.

The good news is that once you get in the treatment room it’s just the same as always.

What Our Customers Say

  • Without the expert care I have received from Neil over the past 20 years I would be spending most of my time in a wheelchair as I have a chronic neurological condition that affects my back. I visit regularly to maintain my mobility which enables me to live a normal life and I am very grateful for the care I have received from Neil over the years.

  • After spending years with different therapists and feeling at a loss for what to do I was convinced by friends to try The Centre. Who knew that it would end with a new lease of life for me? I experienced a vast improvement in my condition and Neil was always able to provide support over the phone if I needed it. I feel at ease with the warm and friendly welcome offered to me by the committed team at The Centre.

  • My wife and I have been visiting Neil for treatment whenever we have back or neck problems for almost 20 years. Neil is always very courteous and professional and we have never hesitated in recommending him to our friends and family who have also had successful treatment from him.
